SIE Graduate, Undergraduate Students Make Headlines All Year

SIE graduate and undergraduate students had a busy year, making headlines as they won numerous awards and fostered careers in some of the biggest names in technology.
Graduate student honors include:
- Seunghan Lee received the Best Paper Award at the Annual Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, or IISE, Conference. Sara Masoud and Bijoy Chowdhury took home the Best Paper Finalist Award.
- Masoud was also awarded an Outstanding Research Assistant Award by Graduate and Professional Student Council.
- Yifei Yuan graduating with his PhD this December has started his career at Google

The SIE INCOSE conference team
SIE undergraduates made great strides also:
- SIE students hosted the 2018 IISE Western regional Conference.
- The Gore Lean Crash Course taught undergads important skills.
- Big Design Day prizes went to SIE students.
- Elizabeth Barnitt worked as an explore intern at Microsoft.
- In other news, SIE students defeated the faculty 17 to 11 at the Annual Student Versus Faculty Game Night.
