Nominate an Outstanding Grad for the 2019 Alum of the Year

The department presents its annual SIE Alumni of the Year Award to an accomplished alumnus or alumna every May during the department's precommencement ceremony. The first recipient was Herb Burton, a former executive at AT&T Bell Laboratories who received his award from department Head Young-Jun Son in 2016.

Since then, each prior winner has joined Son in presenting the award to successive awardees, starting with 1988 graduate Cindy Klingberg in 2017 and then 1990 graduate Ted Landis in 2018.

Now, SIE is looking for nominations of other accomplished alumni to receive this honor. If you know a deserving nominee, download the award criteria and nomination form (PDF) and fill it out by Feb. 22. If you have questions, contact Mia Schnaible at mias@email.arizona.edu.
