Academics
SIE programs focus on the skills needed in nearly every industry to design and refine complex systems in which all the parts work together efficiently. The department’s three distinct undergraduate programs allow students to select areas of specialization while providing a common foundation in advanced mathematics, probability, technical writing and human factors engineering. In a collaborative learning environment, core classes incorporate one-on-one instruction and hands-on activities, including simulation.
