Professor Emeritus Lucien Duckstein passed away in a car accident in France on Wednesday, July 29.
Lucien was on our faculty from 1962 till 1997. He was also a faculty member in Hydrology and Water Resources Department. His research and teaching areas were multi-objective analysis, decision theory, statistical and Bayesian decision theory, fuzzy logic with applications to hydrology and water resources.
He will be greatly missed by many SIE professors, staff members, and former students at UA.
A celebration of life ceremony will be conducted in the near future.
