Valerdi Talks Knuckleballs, Diamondbacks

Ricardo Valerdi, associate professor of systems and industrial engineering, spends a lot of time considering the Science of Baseball, as last year's TEDXTucson lecture shows.

In recent weeks, he's weighed in on the challenges of hitting a knuckleball on KJZZ's Here and Now – and taken kids to school at Hi Corbett Field, as part of a longstanding collaboration with the MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks team.
