Systems Engineers Key to Design Day Success
May 5, 2016
The College of Engineering bestowed 21 team awards at Engineering Design Day 2016 – and to no surprise, 18 of the winners included systems engineering seniors.
That includes the two top awards. Team 15040, which included Danton Whittier, won the Raytheon Award for Best Overall Design for On-Slide Reagent Concentration Feedback and Control, sponsored by Ventana Medical Systems Inc. Team 15023, which included Tareq A.A.M. Alsalem, received the Bly Family Award for Innovation in Energy Production, Supply or Use for Energy-Harvesting Power Supply, sponsored by Tucson Electrical Power.
