Quintero Realizes a Dream, Helps Coach Do Same

Industrial engineering senior Rafael Quintero has accrued an impressive array of diving accolades in recent months: Pac-12 Men's Diver of the Year, top UA student-athlete and Olympic qualifier. He heads to Rio de Janiero this summer to compete for his native Puerto Rico, the country's first Olympic diver in two decades.

Coming with him is UA's head diving coach, Omar Ojeda, who narrowly missed out on the Olympics himself. In qualifying for the 2016 Games, Quintero is helping Ojeda realize his own dreams.
