Jin Wins Early Career Faculty Award

Monday, May 29, 2023

SIE assistant professor Hongyue Jin was awarded the Peterson Family Outstanding Early Career Faculty award at the 2023 College of Engineering staff and faculty awards. The award recognizes excellence in teaching, research and service to a tenure-track faculty member or early career-track faculty member.

Jin joined the College of Engineering in fall 2018. Her research lies at the intersection of industrial engineering and environmental science, with a focus on techno-economic analysis, life cycle assessment and reverse logistic optimization for critical earth elements.

Last year, Jin also won a Women of Impact award from the University of Arizona Office of Research, Innovation and Impact.

“It’s a pleasure to see many well-deserved nominations,” said College of Engineering Craig M. Berge Dean David W. Hahn . “Every day, our staff and faculty uphold the college’s values in ways that matter. It’s important to devote time and attention to appreciating these efforts.”
