Brian O’Cain

Brian O'Cain is a lecturer in the Systems and Industrial Engineering Department. He teaches the "Systems Engineering Process" class, a multi-level class serving undergraduate, degree seeking graduate, and working professional students. He is a retired engineer who worked 33 years in the aerospace engineering field including time in chief systems engineer and program management positions. His expertise is in the application of systems engineering in the professional workplace. This is based on his experience in predesign, major system development, field testing, production support, engineering support for fielded products, and engineering management positions. He also authored the book "Fundamentals of Systems Engineering; Basics for Practical Application" currently in use for the "Systems Process" class.
